A Salute to Todd Plummer: Bike Park Advocate
Todd (left) diligently pursued the creation of the Bike Park in Stanley Park by establishing alignment plans with fellow EPCC members. He gave generously of his expertise using Van Horn Engineering’s GPS equipment to survey the area to create a contour map. A huge amount of thought, energy, and personal time was (and still is) dedicated by Todd “talking up” the Bike Park with the Estes Valley Recreation and Parks District, Estes Park Town Board, and Estes Park School District officials by negotiating property use and engineering safety features. Todd perseveres through the bureaucratic nature of working with governmental entities in order to craft an agreement that suits all parties.
Thanks to his communication with a professional designer; Todd conveys details that ensure the Bike Park will be built as economically as possible while making the final results something the community will enjoy for years to come. In addition to all of the work he dedicated to the Bike Park project over the last three years, he contributes as the EPCC Treasurer and volunteered at several club events.
In 2017, the EPCC Board aims to make the Bike Park a reality. Your help is always welcome: financial donations, letters of support directed to the EVRPD, and volunteering will get the Club closer to reaching its goal.
