Bike Park Fundraising Challenge!
The Stanley Park Bike Park has broken ground!
The Estes Park Cycling Coalition (EPCC) has been working for three years advocating, partnering and planning to make the Stanley Park Bike Park a reality.
The Bike Park will provide a family friendly fun place to ride bikes for Estes Valley residents as well as out of town visitors.
The park will have a variety of riding features and terrain, including a skills course with challenging features such as banked corners, table-tops, and rocks to ride over for all skill levels. There will also be pump tracks for beginner bike riders to advanced. The mile and a half perimeter trail has already been completed.
Although the Estes Valley Recreation and Parks District and the Estes Valley Trails Committee have committed funds to construct the Bike Park, the EPCC would like to add terrain features to enhance the park. EPCC is joining forces with First Colorado Realty to raise funds to purchase technical features to enhance the trails. Technical trail features are built to add a degree of difficulty and fun to a trail. Sometimes these features are built to span areas, other times they exist purely as an alternate line to a trail.

In a generous offer and challenge to other Estes Park residents, businesses and bike enthusiasts everywhere, “First Colorado Realty” has put up a matching donation of $5,000. For every dollar raised between now and the end of May, First Colorado Realty will match other donations up to $5,000. “We are excited to see the Bike Park finally become to reality,” said Christian Collinet, owner, First Colorado Realty. “This matching fundraising challenge is a creative way to raise awareness of the Bike Park needs and challenge others to donate for a great cause.”
The Estes Park Cycling Coalition has created a “Go-Fund-Me” fundraising website to raise funds for the Bike Park trail features. The Goal is to raise $20,000 by the end of May.
